Chris Duarte had a workout with the Warriors on Friday and the Oregon guard felt like things went well during his session with the team.
“It went great,” Duarte said of his workout with Golden State (via James Crepea of The Oregonian). “I really love it, enjoying this time here.”
The Warriors own the No. 7 and No. 14 picks in the upcoming draft, though it’s appearing likely that they don’t end up keeping those selections, as the franchise is looking to add veteran talent.

Duarte has previously worked out for the Wizards, who hold the No. 15 overall pick, among other teams. In addition to Washington and Golden State, the 24-year-old has worked out for Charlotte, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, and San Antonio.

- The Rockets’ interest in trading up to No. 1 in the draft is not a smokescreen, Zach Harper of the Athletic writes. Yet, Houston doesn’t really have the kind of assets to make Detroit consider to pass on Cade Cunningham via trading down. Jalen Green is expected to be the Rockets’ pick if the franchise holds tight at No. 2, though Harper adds that some within the organization favor Jalen Suggs.
- The Hornets are hosting Texas center Kai Jones for a private workout, per the team. Charlotte owns the No. 11 pick in the upcoming draft. The franchise also had several prospects in earlier in the week, including Jahvon Blair (Georgetown), Tahj Eaddy (USC), Balsa Koprivica (Florida State), Sterling Manley (North Carolina) and M.J. Walker (Florida State).
- ICYMI: The Cavaliers had Jonathan Kuminga in for a workout last week. Cleveland holds the No. 3 overall pick and Kuminga is expected to be a contender to be drafted in the top-5.
