The Cavaliers could move on from Larry Nance Jr. this offseason as the forward is “widely believed to be available,” Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic writes.

Nance, who is an Akron native, remains a fan favorite, though, with the likely selection of Evan Mobley, there will be fewer frontcourt minutes to go around in Cleveland.

The franchise is looking to add another top-10 pick in this year’s draft and it seems feasible that some combination of Nance, Collin Sexton and/or future selections could get a deal done.

Cavaliers Want “Godfather” Offer for No. 3 Pick

The Cavaliers continue to listen to offers for the No. 3 overall pick, though according to Chris Fedor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the franchise is likely to hold onto the selection. Fedor writes that it would take a “Godfather” offer for the team to move out of that spot.

The Thunder are among the teams that are eyeing that No. 3 selection, though there hasn’t been any indication that the team is offering up Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as part of those talks (something that may help the club meet Cleveland’s asking price).

Oklahoma City after Evan Mobley, who is likely to be the selection for Cleveland if they stay put. Evaluators around the league are extremely high on Mobley and the Thunder and Cavs aren’t the only teams with an eye on the USC big man.

The Raptors are also interested in 20-year-old, though Toronto is unlikely to meet the Cavs’ asking price. Same with the Magic who were interested in moving up if the price was right, though they are content at No. 5 where Scottie Barnes is likely to be available.

Mobley, who went to the Cavaliers in our latest Mock Draft, was a bit coy when speaking to FortyEightMinutes and other media last week about which teams he worked out for in the pre-draft process.

“The teams won’t let me disclose who I’m working out for,” the USC big man told reporters on Friday.

The Cavaliers have long been rumored to be open to the idea of pairing Mobley with Jarrett Allen, who thrived last season after coming to Cleveland at the trade deadline.
