The Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks for the second time in three days. The Heat won a close one against the Hawks 130-128. This is the momentum that the Heat have been looking to capture for themselves. The Heat now sits 2.5 games ahead of the Hawks. The Heat are in seventh place in the East and the Hawks are in eighth place. The Heat also leads the Hawks in the NBA’s Southeast Division. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke on his team’s performance postgame.
“Our guys are competitors. They love these kind of games,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “It gets my stomach twisting and turning and everything. But these guys just love it. It was important to get this two-game set. We knew the context of it.”
Jimmy Butler led the way for the Miami Heat. Butler scored 26 points on 8-for-14 shooting. Butler knocked down 10-for-12 from the free-throw line. Butler grabbed nine rebounds and dished out nine assists.
