The New York Knicks erased a 22-point fourth-quarter deficit in one of the most insane postseason comebacks in recent NBA Playoff memory. They rallied to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-104 in overtime in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square. Despite being down big most of the game, the Knicks weee determined to protect home and pulled out the game 1 victory.
Jalen Brunson was unstoppable down the stretch. Brunson finished with 38 points on 15-of-29 shooting (including 1-of-6 from three) and 7-for-10 from the free-throw line. He grabbed five rebounds, dished out six assists, and recorded three steals in 46 minutes of play. His clutch heroics set the Madison Square Garden crowd on fire and powered the Knicks to victory.
The Cavaliers kept it competitive and led most of the game behind Donovan Mitchell’s 29 points (12-for-23 FG, 4-for-11 from three). Evan Mobley posted 15 points and 14 rebounds, with James Harden chipping in 15 points. However, the Cavaliers couldn’t maintain their lead as New York’s defense and momentum shifted dramatically in the fourth.
