While every game is important in the NBA, certain ones may hold more personal value to a particular player, coach, or team executive.
Doc Rivers coached the Clippers from 2014-20 and is the winningest coach in franchise history at 356-208. The franchise had only made the playoffs three times in the first 16 seasons of its existence. During Rivers’ tenure, the Clippers made the postseason six times.
“That’s something that I will always be proud of,” Rivers told the media this week. “The Clippers now are in the NBA, and I feel like I played a major part in that.”
Rivers will get his second shot at beating the Clippers in Los Angeles since leaving the franchise on Friday night. Last season, the Sixers suffered a 10-point road loss in the tilt. though they were without All-Star Joel Embiid in the contest. Dwight Howard getting himself ejected further depleted the club.

The Sixers should be in a much better position this time around, entering the contest at full strength with PointsBet showcasing them as a 5-point favorite.
Philadelphia is 45-27 on the season, currently 1.5 games back of the Heat for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Clippers are 36-38 on the year, currently residing in the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference after losing four straight games.
