The San Antonio Spurs have officially punched their ticket to the 2026 NBA Finals. They got there with a hard-fought 111-103 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 in Oklahoma City. Victor Wembanyama led the way with a complete performance. The Spurs’ balanced attack and execution in the fourth quarter sealed their victory and OKC’s demise.
Victor Wembanyama was a force on both ends, finishing with 22 points on 7-for-15 shooting. He also knocked down 3-for-5 from the three-point line. Wembanyama also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists, recorded a steal, and blocked a shot. His ability to stretch the floor, protect the rim, and make plays in transition was pivotal in a game that featured multiple runs from both sides. When it was time to make a timely shot or a positive play Wembanyama was there making it happen.
Julian Champagnie provided a huge contribution for the Spurs in their game 7 victory. He dropped 20 points on 6-for-11 shooting and 6-for-10 from the three-point line. He hit several timely three-pointers that helped stretch OKC’s defense and give the Spurs momentum.
