Coming into their latest matchup the Indiana Pacers and the Orlando Magic were virtually tied in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pacers were able to move slightly ahead of the Magic in their standings defeating the Magic, 121-108. The Amway Center was live and loud but the Pacers went in and earned the road victory despite that. Pacers’ Head Coach Rick Carlisle spoke postgame about his team’s performance.
“That was one of the better games we’ve played in a while, on the road,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “We’ve played some good home games, but it’s been a while (more than two months) since we’ve won on the road.”
Myles Turner led the way for the Pacers with 24 points on 11-for-19 shooting. Turner knocked down 2-for-4 from the three-point line. Turner also grabbed eight rebounds on the night. Tyrese Haliburton scored 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting. Haliburton knocked down 2-for-4 from the three-point line. He also knocked down 3-for-4 from the free-throw line. Haliburton dished out 14 assists as well.
The Orlando Magic dropped the game and now are 25-36 overall. Franz Wagner led the Magic with 21 points. Paolo Banchero scored 19 points and Markelle Fultz scored 18 points for the team.
