Season Preview Podcast: Bickerstaff is Cavs’ greatest hope

Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff addresses the media after practice.

I joined Chase Smith on the season preview edition of the Cavs on the Break podcast — to discuss everything from Collin Sexton to Darius Garland to Andre Drummond to the chances of trades and a whole lot more.

Along with that, I talked about why the Cavs and their fans should feel great about coach J.B. Bickerstaff.

  1. The Andre Drummond thing, what is the point of a trade? Get a pick and draft the next Andre Drummond?

High impact player, likely still improving with the new coach/environment. Can get 20 pts 20 rebs and a handful of blocks any given night.

I forget what Cavs are trying to do and why they exist. To get good and try to win? Or get even less experienced and lose more?

Again, grass isn’t always greener in the future, as is being sold.. If Cavs trade Drummond for a pick just to draft the next Anthony Bennett…

I’d like to say I’d be done with the Cavs. But more likely will just show up here and whine about it, sorry Sam.
