The Jazz have waived point guard Nigel Williams-Goss, the team announced in a release.
Williams-Goss is 6-foot-2 and was selected by the Jazz in the second round (No. 55 overall) of the 2017 draft. He was on a non-guaranteed deal worth about $1.8 million for 2020-21.
He appeared in 10 games with the Jazz last season, averaging 1.4 points. Most of his time was spent with the G-League’s Salt Lake City Stars, where he compiled averages of 15.3 points and 5.5 assists.
The timing of the release will give Williams-Goss an opportunity to resurface with another team before the start of the season.
