Chris Paul has agreed to a four-year deal worth up to $120 million to stay with the Suns, his agents Steve Heumann and Ty Sullivan of CAA Basketball tell Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Paul helped lead the Suns to their first Finals appearance in nearly 30 years, but despite the temptation of him leaving to join a team better equipped to win it all next season, he never seemed determined to leave.
“Everybody in that locker room knows we had enough, but it wasn’t enough,” Paul said after losing to the Bucks in six games in the NBA Finals. “So, we got to figure it out. I think for me, I just look at myself and figure out how can I get better, what I could have done more, and make sure I come back next season ready to do it again.”
With Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton in the fold, Phoenix will again be a threat to get to the Finals out of the West next season.
