Kyle Lowry has spent nearly a decade in Toronto, but with him heading into free agency and a rebuild possibly on the horizon for the Raptors, Lowry could be looking to take his talents elsewhere as his career winds down.
The Sixers are expected to have interest in the Philadelphia native, as well as the Lakers, Mavericks, Pelicans and Heat, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Lakers, in particular, are looking for a “third stellar player” who can provide play-making and shot creation around LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Charania adds. Los Angeles is also interested in DeMar DeRozan and Spencer Dinwiddie.
DeRozan, a Los Angeles native, would take less than the $27.7 million he earned last year with the Spurs to join the Lakers, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

- The Raptors are expected to heavily pursue Jarrett Allen, according to Charania. Allen is a restricted free agent, so the Cavaliers can match any offer sent his way. Charania notes that there is strong mutual interest between the Cavs and Allen to get a deal done.
- The Mavericks have prioritized re-signing free agent Tim Hardaway Jr., per Charania. Hardaway, who averaged 16.6 points per game including 39 percent shooting from three last season, arrived in Dallas as part of the Kristaps Porzingis trade back in 2019.
- The Pelicans and Hornets have expressed interest in trading for Myles Turner, according to Charania. Turner flirted with Defensive Player of the Year honors before going down with an injury late in the season.
- Will Barton declined his $14.7 million player option with the Nuggets, but there is tremendous interest in the two parties to come to an agreement on a new deal, per Charania. Barton has established himself as a fan favorite over his six-plus years in Denver.
- The Pelicans and Grizzlies “have generated traction” in trade talks that would bring Eric Bledsoe and the No. 10 overall pick to Memphis in exchange for the No. 17 overall pick, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. New Orleans is looking to clear cap space and the Grizzlies have some financial flexibility, at least for this summer as extensions for Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant won’t come into play until the next few offseasons.
