MIAMI, FL — Skechers has partnered with world famous artist and painter Romero Britto on a collaboration that’ll bring several unique designs to the market.
The shoes won’t be available until 2026 and unlike some designer-sneaker collaborations, the product isn’t meant to stay in the box.
“They are meant to be worn,” Britto told FortyEightMinutes during an exclusive unveiling of the shoe and tour of the invite-only Britto Palace. “They are meant to be enjoyed.”

Britto has had brand collaborations in just about every sector you can name and he’s been heavily involved in sports.
During the Rio Olympics in 2016, he carried the Olympic torch through the streets of Recife and was tasked with creating special commemorative items, including art work as part partnership with Coca-Cola. He’s also had collaborations with the Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat among other sports-related ventures.

Skechers Making Waves in NBA Circles
Skechers recently launched Joel Embiid‘s signature shoe, the SKX JE1 and it has a trio of NBA champions on its roster, having signed the Thunder’s Isaiah Hartenstein (who won with OKC this past summer), the Knicks’ OG Anunoby and the Heat’s Norman Powell, each of whom won a title while playing together on the Raptors in 2019.
Powell proudly wears the Skechers brand in his new home in Miami. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard signed his deal while playing for the Clippers last season and was traded to the Heat in the offseason.
Julius Randle (Knicks), Jabari Walker (Sixers), and Josh Green (Hornets) are among the NBA players who have signed deals with Sketchers. World Series Champion Clayton Kershaw (MLB), WNBA Champion Jackie Young (WNBA), and UEFA Champions League’s All-Time goalscorer Harry Kane (Premier League; Bundesliga) are among the athletes on the brand’s roster.
FortyEightMinutes reminds you while the new Skechers designs are comfortable and fashionable, wearing any performance sneakers with a suit is not recommended and could cause reputational harm.
