PHILADELPHIA — The Sixers had fans in the building for the first time all season and they gave their faithful supporters quite the showing. Doc Rivers’ team completely blitzed the Spurs, leading by as many 42 points during the 134-99 win.

Tobias Harris told FortyEightMinutes and other reporters in the building that he felt like it was a packed crowd (the official attendance was 3,017, which is technically a sellout).

“It was exciting,” Harris said. “…We loved every moment of tonight.”

Tobias Harris says it felt like a packed crowd in the Wells Fargo Arena.

Tobias Harris came close to getting his first career triple-double (23 points, nine rebounds, seven assists). He would have been the fourth member of the Sixers to join the triple-double club with Ben Simmons (31), Joel Embiid (2), and Dwight Howard (1) already accomplishing the feat at various points in their career.

More From Philadelphia

  • The Sixers are now 17-3 at home this year and 1-0 since fans were allowed in the building.

  • Ben Simmons, who was in quarantine over the past seven days because he came in contact with his barber, who had COVID-19. Simmons says he’ll continue to go to his guy once the barber recovers from the virus.

  • Matisse Thybulle (four stocks, +16 in 17 minutes) got a standing ovation from the 3,000+ fans in Philadelphia as he left the game part-way through the fourth quarter (long after the team’s starters had last seen the court). The Sixers’ lead was extended to 40 at that point with Thybulle and Furkan Korkmaz playing excellently off one another for a solid stretch in the second half.

  • Philly’s next game is against the Knicks, at home, on Tuesday. New York is 1-1 since the All-Star break.
