Carmelo Anthony joined the Lakers this offseason in his quest for the title but before signing with Los Angeles, he had interest from other suitors, including the Sixers.
“Philly, I was looking at Philly. I didn’t get a chance to really converse with Philly, but there was interest there,” Anthony told Yahoo’s Chris Haynes on the “Posted Up” podcast.
“I didn’t get a chance to talk to the guys on the team, you know — Joel (Embiid) and Tobias (Harris). They reached out to me but I didn’t get a chance to get back to them because everything was just happening, so crazy…”
Anthony also mentioned that the Pelicans and Knicks were among the other clubs to show interest in him during free agency.
