Houston continues to search a James Harden trade partner and earlier today, it was reported that the Sixers had made Ben Simmons available in trade talks with the Rockets.
Team president Daryl Morey responded to the report, telling Shams Charania of The Athletic that the rumors are simply not true.
“We are not trading Ben Simmons — he is an important part of our future,” Morey said.
Philadelphia is just one of Harden’s preferred destinations. The Nets sit atop his list with the Bucks and Heat each also being suitable destinations in the eyes of Harden, per reports.
