Kyle Lowry is expected to agree to a contract with the Heat at the start of free agency, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Wojnarowski went as far as to say “everything is in place” for that to happen when he appeared on ESPN’s The Jump.

Assuming Lowry ends up in Miami, he’ll be heading there after a nine-year stay in Toronto, as he helped the Raptors win their first and only championship in franchise history.

More Point Guard Rumors

  • Mike Conley and the Jazz are expected to agree on a new three-year deal, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic. Retaining Conley will be critical for the Jazz’s title hopes, as the veteran point guard averaged 16.2 points and 6.0 assists last season, helping them earn the league’s best record.

  • League sources thought Cameron Payne can get $10-$12 million per year in his next contract, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post. The Knicks have been linked to the speedy guard. Payne was a huge part of the Suns’ run to the Finals, as his shooting and penetration skills provided a nice boost off the bench behind Chris Paul.

  • The Knicks, Wizards, Bulls and Pelicans are among several teams interested in Dennis Schroder, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. The Knicks are seen as the best fit for Schroder, as they have a glaring hole at the point guard position.

  • The Pelicans, Knicks, Celtics and Nuggets are all interested in Reggie Jackson, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic. The Pelicans are seen as the team with the most interest given that their primary target, Lowry, is seemingly headed to Miami.
