Dallas Mavericks All-Star guard Luka Doncic has yet to play against the Mavericks playoff series against the Utah Jazz because he’s nursing a calf strain injury. However, the Mavericks have been able to maintain position in their series in his absence, splitting the first two games in Dallas.
As the series shifts to Utah, Luka Doncic, who was a full participant at Wednesday’s practice, spoke with the media for the first time since the playoffs began. Doncic shared that he was “feeling good” when asked about himself when speaking with FortyEightMinutes and other reporters via zoom.
However, Doncic wasn’t certain that he be able to play in Game 3 on Thursday in Utah. He would later add that he’s not 100 percent, but there’s little risk of injury if he’s ready, he will be out there.
According to Mavs PR, Doncic is listed as questionable for Game 3.

Head Coach Jason Kidd shared that Doncic was heading in the right direction.
“He’s going in the right direction…Luka, his speed is different than anyone in the league. I know it’s a broken record, hopefully, it’s a green light, and if not, we will be prepared to play without him,” Kidd told FortyEightMinutes and other reporters via zoom.
Luka Doncic on Jalen Brunson Not Being A MIP Candidate
Later in his press conference, Luka was asked about Jalen Brunson‘s improvement this season.
“A lot. I don’t know how he wasn’t a Most Improved Player candidate. The jump he made this season, there are not a lot of ppl who did that. [You couldn’t see that every day]. He should be in that conversation,” Doncic explained.
