The Cavaliers have waived center Norvel Pelle, the team announced in a release.
Pelle, 27, had been signed earlier in the day and is therefore likely headed for the Canton Charge, the Cavs’ affiliate in the G League.
Pelle is 6-foot-10 and made 24 appearances with the 76ers last season, averaging 2.4 points and 3.0 rebounds. The Sixers waived him last month before his contract was to become guaranteed for the season.
The Cavs’ roster is at 17, including two two-way players (center Marques Bolden and rookie forward Lamar Stevens). So their opening-night roster now appears to be set.
