Joel Embiid was “in and out” of practice on Tuesday but he is expected to play vs. the Celtics on Wednesday, coach Doc Rivers told FortyEightMinutes.com and other media in Philadelphia.
The Sixers’ game against the Thunder on Sunday was postponed, though Embiid wasn’t slated to play in that game (as he didn’t on Saturday vs. Memphis) because of right knee pain.

- Jarrett Allen, who was traded to the Cavs in the James Harden deal, admitted that he would have made the deal if he was running the Nets. “Look at what happened with the Lakers, they did the same thing,” Allen said in reference to the Lakers’ gutting their team of young prospects in the Anthony Davis trade (via Brian Lewis of The New York Post). “The next year they went and got their ring. So take myself out of it, I’d love to stay in Brooklyn, but I understand in the opportunity like that you have to go do it.”
