The Miami Heat are officially on the brink of reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014.
The Heat demolished the Boston Celtics by a score of 128-102 on Sunday night—They now hold a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Celtics.
Coach Erik Spoelstra naturally expected the game to be more of a challenge for his ball club. His team came out with a lot of fire and blew the Celtics out instead. Coach Spo spoke on this postgame and regarding his team’s mindset heading into a potential series-clinching game four.
“That was a solid, mature, professional approach,” said Spoelstra. “There’s a lot of pent-up stuff here and we’re getting closer, but we still have to finish this off.”
Gabe Vincent led the way for the Heat with 29 points. Vincent scored his 29 on 11-for-14 shooting. Vincent was hot from behind the three-point line. Vincent grabbed two rebounds, dished out three assists, blocked a shot, and recorded a steal on the night.
