The breakout of Darius Garland last season makes the roster construction for the Cleveland Cavaliers much easier, especially with the possibility of Collin Sexton making his exit from Cleveland.
Sexton is a restricted free agent, but the Cavaliers seem to be leaning towards letting Sexton walk, especially if he ends up getting paid elsewhere, which might be in Dallas. It will be interesting to see what offers Sexton receives throughout this offseason.
Cavaliers – Current Roster
Projected Starters:
Garland signed a five-year, $193 million extension with the Cavaliers. The one-time All-Star now plans to remain in Cleveland into what will likely begin his prime in five years, where Garland will be eligible to sign a supermax extension.
Projected Rotational Players:
The Cavaliers proved to need an extra shot-creator this last season, and they addressed that in the draft with Ochai Agbaji, who comes in with four years of the college experience. Agbaji will be a solid player off the bench and may be ahead of some of the other rookies when it comes to producing to winning basketball this season. Cleveland believes he’ll contribute right away.
