The Spencer Dinwiddie sweepstakes are down to three teams, according to Jordan Schultz of ESPN. Those three teams are the Pelicans, Knicks and “possibly” Wizards.
The Pelicans have been pursuing Dinwiddie and could have the inside track, paying him upwards of $20 million per year over a lengthy deal.
The Pelicans were reportedly in talks to move Lonzo Ball to the Bulls, as Dinwiddie would almost certainly come in and replace him as their starting point guard if that deal happens.
Dinwiddie gave the Nets a chance to pay him what he feels he’s worth, but Brooklyn is seemingly moving on at this point.
