It was supposedly a simpler time, but you never would have known it based on the Brooklyn Nets’ uniforms.
Actually, they were the New Jersey Nets then.
Regardless, the Nets will be wearing the almost-psychedelic threads from 30 years ago for select games for the 2020-21 season. And of course, they have made them available in their team shop. (I’ll be buying something, just not sure what yet.)
30 years ago the New Jersey Nets found a new look. This year, the Brooklyn Nets are paying homage to a classic.

“While the announcement of a retro uniform is not normally a big deal, this one indicates that the Nets, under Joe and Clara Wu Tsai and new CEO John Abbamondi, are serious about going after their prodigal fans in New Jersey.” NetsDaily wrote.
The 2020-21 season is tentatively expected to tip off sometime in January or February. For the Nets, that will mean the debut of new Nets coach Steve Nash, star forward Kevin Durant and point guard Kyrie Irving.

Hey @BrooklynNets, please go all-in and wear the old warmup suits too.
And bring back the Iggy Pop song during player intros while you're at it. https://t.co/OPcJpGsKXR pic.twitter.com/plXcRixKfa
