LeBron James is back in Cleveland for All-Star weekend and it’s possible that he finds himself playing home games in the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse again before the end of his career.
James spoke with Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, explaining that the “door is not closed” on a possible return to the Cavaliers while explaining a major goal for the last few years in the NBA.
“My last year will be played with my son…
“Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”
Bronny James currently is a high school junior at Sierra Canyon in California. Assuming he declares for the NBA at the earliest possible moment, the younger James will be eligible for the 2024 draft (though, that is assuming the one-and-done rule remains in effect).
James’ current contract with the Lakers runs through the 2022-23 season.
