The Knicks entered the 2021 NBA Draft with the No. 19 and No. 25 overall picks and in a pair of deals, they have traded them both away.
New York Hands Kai Jones to Charlotte
The No. 19 overall selection was dealt to the Hornets (used for Kai Jones) in exchange for a future first-round pick. The Hornets had considered Jones at No. 11, though opted to go with James Bouknight when the UConn guard was still on the board.
The selection heading to the Knicks is protected 1-18 in 2022 with heavy protections to follow in the ensuing three years.
Clippers Acquire Keon Johnson From Knicks
The Clippers have acquired Tennessee wing Keon Johnson via the No. 21 overall selection, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link).
New York will receive the No. 25 pick as well as a future second-rounder in exchange for the pick.
