Let’s take a look at some of the latest injury updates from around the NBA:
- Joel Embiid (COVID-protocols) was at the Sixers’ practice facility working out on Monday, according to coach Doc Rivers (h/t Rich Hofmann of The Athletic). Embiid isn’t playing vs. Sacramento on Monday night, however. Tobias Harris (hip) is also out for the contest.
- Luka Doncic (ankle/knee) is listed as questionable heading into Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Clippers. There were some recent rumblings that the star point guard could miss more time than initially expected due to the severity of his injury.
- Killian Hayes will miss at least the next two games for the Pistons as he deals with a sprained left thumb. Detroit plays Miami on Tuesday and Milwaukee on Wednesday.
- Jaylen Brown is returning to the lineup for the Celtics on Monday night. Brown had been out with a hamstring injury since the beginning of November.
- Gary Harris (hand) and Cole Anthony (ankle) are both out for Orlando’s matchup against Milwaukee on Monday night. Mychal Mulder is expected to join the starting lineup for the contest.
- Michael Porter Jr. (back) remains sidelined and according to The Denver Post, the forward is dealing with a nerve issue that could jeopardize his season. Porter, who was selected with the No. 14 overall pick back in 2018, has a history of back issues, including having surgery ahead of being drafted.
