Cavaliers center Andre Drummond is questionable for Tuesday night’s home game vs. the Jazz with what is being called an Achilles contusion.
So add Drummond to the Cavs’ list of walking wounded — which only seems to get worse by the day. The Cavs will already continue to be without the starting backcourt of shooting guard and leading scorer Collin Sexton (ankle) and point guard Darius Garland (shoulder).
Others such as power forward Kevin Love (calf), guard Dante Exum (calf), Dylan Windler (hand), Matthew Dellavedova (concussion) and Kevin Porter Jr. (personal reasons) also remain out, of course.
Put all those injured body parts together and you be able to build one really good NBA player. As it stands, the Cavs (5-6) are in a world of pain.
Not only are their key regulars missing time, but so are their important backups.
On the (only) bright side, younger players such as rookie small forward Isaac Okoro, power forward Dean Wade and two-way rookie forward Lamar Stevens are getting some run. Okoro actually played 40 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Grizzlies.
But as far as actually winning games, the odds continue to be stacked against the severely shorthanded Cavs.
