Dennis Schroder. who was sent to the Rockets at the trade deadline, had been expected to negotiate a buyout with Houston. Yet, that won’t happen, according to longtime journalist Marc Stein.
Schroder is expected to remain with the Rockets through the end of the season.
Schroder has suited up in three games for the Rockets since arriving in Houston. He’s seen 29.0 minutes per game with averages of 12.0 points and 7.7 assists per contest.
The former Laker will be a free agent at the end of the year. He had hit free agency last summer, expecting a major deal. However, he ultimately ended up signing a one-year, mid-level pact with the Celtics.
