The Los Angeles Clippers will interview Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham for their coaching vacancy this week, according to Malika Andrews of ESPN.
Ham is already considered a finalist for the Indiana Pacers’ vacancy, Andrews reported.
The Clippers are looking to replace Doc Rivers, fired last week after seven seasons. (Rivers has since been hired by the Philadelphia 76ers.)
Ham, 47, has served as an assistant under Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer for seven years, dating back to when Budenholzer was coach of the Atlanta Hawks. The duo has been with the Bucks since 2018. Milwaukee has compiled the NBA’s best regular-season record in both seasons.
Ham has also held an assistant job with the LA Lakers and is the former head coach of the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the G League (2010-11).
Clippers assistant Tyronn Lue and former Houston Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy have also been linked to the Clippers opening. Lue reportedly has already interviewed with the Clippers.
