The Ben Simmons sweepstakes continue and there are as many as nine teams in talks with the Sixers about a trade.
The Cavaliers, Timberwolves, Blazers, and Pacers have all engaged with the Sixers about a Simmons deal, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. Fischer adds that the Rockets, Raptors, Pistons, and Spurs as well as a “mystery” team have had conversations with Daryl Morey & Co. about the potential deal.
It was previously reported that Cleveland and Minnesota were making the hardest pushes for Simmons, though it’s unclear what exactly their offers are at this time.
Simmons had a “brief” meeting with the Sixers front office since returning to Philadelphia and additional details on him rejoining his teammates are unclear at this time. The Sixers’ final preseason game is Friday vs. the Pistons.
