Ben Simmons has been ruled out ahead of Game 4 of the Nets-Celtics series. The team lists his reason for being out as “return to competition reconditioning/back soreness,” which is the same as it has been for the past few weeks.
The Nets are down 0-3 and Monday night’s matchup could be the final game of the season for Brooklyn, meaning there’s a chance that Simmons never suits up for the club.
Kyrie Irving Explains Nets’ Struggles
Kyrie Irving claims that continuity is a concern for Brooklyn, explaining that his team is “in a new experience as a group.” The point guard added that the Nets simply aren’t “gelling” in the same way that the Celtics are.
“I don’t wanna be cliche, but I don’t know how you make up time from October to now,” Irving explained after the team’s Game 3 loss.
