The Cavaliers are going through the motions of another disappointing season and it appears that the morale in the locker room could be much better.
One former Cavs player described it as a “bad culture” in Cleveland
“I wouldn’t say most of the players WANT traded but most would WELCOME a trade for sure,” the player told our own Sam Amico via text. “…culture is bad … no lottery pick gonna fix bad culture! Only desire to win from ownership/front office will!”
Between the handling of Andre Drummond‘s situation, Kevin Love‘s ongoing saga, and the reports that players are getting taunted for Collin Sexton not passing them the ball, there’s plenty wrong in Cleveland. The team hasn’t sniffed the playoffs since LeBron James left for Los Angeles three years ago, though they’ll look to turn it around with a full offseason. They are already assured to be one of the 10 teams that can start it early.
More NBA Rumors
- The Bulls are expected to pursue Dennis Schroder and Lonzo Ball in free agency this summer, Adrian Wojnarowski said over the weekend on ESPN’s NBA Countdown. This isn’t the first time Chicago has been linked to a looming free agent and it probably won’t be the last rumors we’ll hear before free agency begins.
- The Knicks just signed Luca Vildoza, though coach Tom Thibodeau says the Argentinian point guard may not begin playing for New York until next season. “It’s going to take some time for him to get over here,” Thibodeau said (via Marc Berman of The New York Post). “Our scouts really liked him. We’ll have time to evaluate him over the summer.” He later added, “There’s a whole process that he’s going to have to go through, so it’s going to be more of a summer thing.’’
