The Kings will bring back Damian Jones on another 10-day deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
Jones, whose first 10-day expires on Friday night, has played in three games so far for Sacramento, averaging 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game. With Richaun Holmes (hamstring) sidelined, the Kings have a continued need for an additional big man.
The latest deal for Jones will be his fourth 10-day contract this season, having signed a pair of them with the Lakers earlier in the year. Los Angeles would have had to sign the former first-rounder for the remainder of the season if the franchise wanted to bring him back and it opted against it. The Kings will face the same dilemma with Jones later this month as teams are permitted to signing players to at most two 10-day contracts.
Jones began his career with the Warriors as the No. 30 overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. In addition to the three California teams, he’s also spent time with the Hawks and Suns.
