The Miami Heat were able to get back in the win column with a 122-95 over the Washington Wizards. The Heat now sits with an 8-14 record through 22 games this season. With Jimmy Butler back in the lineup, they are turning things around. They are looking like the Heat team we saw last year that made an NBA Finals run. Bam Adebayo, who led the Heat in scoring this game had this to say about the win.
“We were competing on both ends. … It’s great to see us try to get back to that form we had last year,” Adebayo said. “Good to get a win.”
Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra had this to say about the Heat’s strong effort against the Wizards.
“We’re seeing improvement,” Spoelstra said. “We just need time. Our core guys have not been on the court together a lot this season, and you’re trying to build habits and play the right way.”
There is a long season ahead and no time to hit the panic button. They are looking to get on the right track with this victory.
