The Orlando Magic rallied from being down 11 in the third quarter to earn a win against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The Magic defeated the New York Knicks 98-94 to earn their 22nd victory of the season. The Magic are now 22-18 overall and 9-13 overall on the road. Magic Head Coach Jamahl Mosely spoke postgame about the Magic’s win and the production he got back from his bench unit.
“You saw what they did coming off the bench. I think they put on a defensive clinic in a lot of ways,” coach Jamahl Mosley said.
Paolo Banchero led the way for the Magic with 20 points. Banchero scored his 20 on 9-for-19 shooting. Banchero hit 2-for-5 from the free-throw line. Banchero also grabbed six rebounds and dished out three assists. Banchero spoke postgame about the Magic’s win and the bench’s performance as well.
“I think just wanting to come in the game and close it out,” Banchero said of his mindset. “I had been sitting over there for a while, and I was ready to come in the game.”
