The Rockets now hold the No. 3, No. 17, and No. 26 selections in this year’s draft after the Christian Wood trade and it’s possible that they use the latter two selections to move up higher in the first round (in our All-Trade Mock Draft, we outlined a scenario where Houston netted the No. 7 pick and selected AJ Griffin to pair with Paolo Banchero).
The Rockets are dangling Eric Gordon in trade talks and they are still seeking a first-rounder for the shooting guard even after acquiring their third first-rounder, per Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. It seems unlikely that Houston would bring in four more rookies to next year’s roster, though it would make more sense for the club to offer Gordon to a team that allows them to move up from the back half of the draft.

- Rival teams believe the Cavaliers are high on Ousmane Dieng, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com writes in his latest mock draft Dieng has been sparingly connected to Cleveland throughout the pre-draft process, though it’s very possible that the 19-year-old forward is selected before the No. 14 selection, so the franchise may have to make a trade to land him.
- The Bulls are open to trading the No. 18 overall pick and could potentially package the selection with Coby White to a rival suitor (Givony adds in the same piece). We outlined two Coby White trades in our All-Trade Mock Draft.
- The Pacers are open to trading Malcolm Brogdon and Myles Turner, though Givony hears that Indiana’s asking price for the two veterans is supposedly too high.
