The Lakers are riding a four-game winning streak after their recent 134-118 victory against the Hawks. Head coach Frank Vogel shared some insight into how the team has turned it around.
“I think guys are getting comfortable with the way we are playing right now. Our team evolves when you play through Anthony Davis and when Anthony Davis goes out. It takes a little time for us to adjust, and I think you saw that with us taking some L’s early,” said Vogel.
“But playing the smaller lineups with Bron at the center allows the other guys to get a little more comfortable. It has allowed Bron to get going in terms of creating himself and being a receiver more, and it has opened things up for guys like Malik [Monk], Avery Bradley, and Talen Horton Tucker. Even Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, had a strong game with 13 assists. Just a lot things open up.”
The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action on Sunday at 9:30 pm EST to face the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers are looking to continue their four-game winning streak and gain some ground on the Grizzlies in the Western Conference standings.
