The Miami Heat found their way back to the win column in Central Florida. In a battle between the two Florida teams, the Heat defeated the Orlando Magic 115-105. The Heat knocked down 19 three-pointers. They have knocked down 91 three-pointers over the past five games. That’s good for the most in team history. Miami Heat Head Coach spoke on his squad’s hot shooting postgame.
“(Strus) is like a few of our guys — Duncan (Robinson), Tyler (Herro) and even Gabe, to an extent — they’re ignitable,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “They hit two (3-pointers) and immediately they’re thinking three, four, five. They all can get in a roll and that’s what we saw with Max.”
Max Strus led the way for the Miami Heat. Strus scored 32 points off the bench on 11-for-15 shooting from the field. Strus knocked down 8-for-11 from the three-point line. He also grabbed seven rebounds. Strus spoke postgame regarding not only his shooting but his team’s shooting as well.
“That’s what we do; we’ve got shooters and we’ve got a lot guys who put in time in the gym and work on it,” said Strus, one of seven undrafted players out of the Heat’s 10 active players on Friday. “We’re going to keep playing that way if shots are falling. We’re making then, so why not keep shooting them?”
Gabe Vincent had another big game for the Heat as well. Vincent scored 27 points on 10-for-20 shooting from the field. Vincent knocked down 4-for-11 shooting from the field. He also grabbed two rebounds and dished out four assists.
