Dwight Howard has agreed to return the Lakers, his agent Qais Haider tells Shams Charania of The Athletic.
It had been reported that it was inevitable for Howard to return to the Lakers, as his rebounding and rim protection skills are still very valuable in a limited role.
Trevor Ariza, another former Laker, has agreed to a one-year deal with Los Angeles, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Ariza was part of the 2008-09 Lakers team that won the NBA Finals, as he has established himself as one of the better two-way wings in the league over the last decade.
Wayne Ellington has also reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Lakers, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Ellington becomes the third former Laker to re-sign with them, as he shot 42.2 percent from three last season.
All three guys should fit in nicely next to LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, as Ariza and Ellington can feast off wide-open looks, and Howard can do the dirty work defensively to help lock down the paint.
