With the Trail Blazers being eliminated in the first round for yet another season, it’s fair to wonder about the future of Damian Lillard.
Lillard has been on record multiple times in the past expressing his loyalty to the city of Portland and the Trail Blazers organization, but at some point, it’s gotta get tiring being eliminated in the first round every season.
Executives around the NBA clearly take notice, as they closely monitor the situation in Portland to see if there’s a chance to land the superstar guard.
“We check in every year,” one rival team executive told Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated. “You would be an idiot not to.”
The Knicks are one of several teams keeping their eye on Lillard, as they almost certainly would throw the kitchen sink at Portland to bring him in.
