The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed former Portland Trail Blazers center Moses Brown to a two-way contract.
Brown is 7-foot-2 and a former McDonald’s All-American. He spent one season at UCLA, earning PAC-12 All-Freshmen Team honors. He went undrafted in 2019 then signed with the Blazers.
Brown appeared in nine NBA games last season, doing most of his damage in the G League. On Feb. 29, Brown recorded 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Texas Legends in a win over the Northern Arizona Suns.
“I think that Moses in the last nine weeks has grown in leaps and bounds,” agent Gary Moore told Adam Zagoria of Forbes. “He’s gotten so much better in all phases of his game and in his life, and I think he’s going to be a tremendously surprise great addition to the league. I think the Oklahoma City Thunder have gotten a real quality player and he’s more ready now than (before).”
Brown is a native of New York City and attended the famed Archbishop Molloy High.
Forward Josh Hall is the Thunder’s other two-way player.
