The Los Angeles Clippers are among the teams with an interest in trading for Oklahoma City Thunder point guard George Hill, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Hill is among the Thunder players said to be available ahead of the March 25 trade deadline. Center Al Horford and power forward Mike Muscala are the others.
It is believed the Thunder are looking to move on from Hill and other veterans in exchange for picks or younger players with promise.
“Hill has been a positive veteran player for Oklahoma City, and coupled with the fact he has another year left on his contract in 2021-22 ($10 million, partially guaranteed), the Thunder are happy retaining Hill into the second half of the season unless a team meets their asking price,” Charania reported.
The Clippers (25-15) entered Monday night as losers of six of their last 10 games. They are said to be exploring several trades for bench help, particularly seeing veterans who have “been there before,” such as Hill.
