USA Basketball’s 3×3 Women’s team has taken home the 2023 FIBA World Cup title, winning the title game over France by a score of 16-12 on Sunday in Vienna.
The 3×3 title game has a 10-minute clock (it’s usually eight minutes for non-Final games) with a score of 21 winning the game if either team approaches that number before the time is over (for more info on the 3×3 FIBA games, check out our piece on the 3×3 Team USA Qualifiers).
The Women’s team, which earned seventh place at last year’s World Cup, lost their first game of this year’s tournament to Canada but rallied back with seven straight wins.

USA Men’s Team Wins Silver

Both the women’s and men’s teams have now secured berths in the Olympic qualifying tournaments next year in Paris.
