The Nets are on the verge of getting swept by the Celtics in the first round of this year’s playoffs and while there will certainly be some changes in Brooklyn heading into next season, don’t expect Steve Nash to be the fall guy, as a source tells longtime NBA journalist Marc Stein (Substack).
Decision-makers in Brooklyn surely understand the numerous challenges Nash faced this past year, ranging from Kevin Durant’s injury to James Harden’s discontent to Kyrie Irving’s inability to suit up at times.
Steins contends that Nash does deserve some blame for the underachieving team, though with all the larger issues at play, Nash doesn’t deserve all of it.
Brooklyn plays Game 4 on Monday night. They are a slight favorite to win the matchup (-115 Moneyline) and +2000 to make the historic 0-3 comeback and win in the series.
