Washington is on the lookout for a point guard and may search the trade market to find one this summer. D’Angelo Russell is rumored to be available in talks with the Timberwolves, though according to longtime NBA journalist Darren Wolfson, the franchise won’t be trading for the former No. 2 overall pick.
“The Wizards are not interested in Russell,” Wolfson explained on his latest podcast. “Yes, the Wizards are looking for a lead guard, and I am told no interest in D’Angelo Russell.”
Washington has the No. 10 overall pick in this year’s draft, which could be on the move for a veteran.
