The Nets travel to Philadelphia on Wednesday to take on the Sixers for the third and final time this season. Brooklyn won the first game back in January, though that was prior to the James Harden acquisition. Philadelphia won the second meeting post-Harden trade, though that matchup came without either Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant in the lineup.

Nets Projected Starters
- PG Kyrie Irving
- SG Joe Harris
- SF Bruce Brown
- PF Jeff Green
- C Nicolas Claxton
Injury Notes: Harden (hamstring) remains out and LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) will miss the contest. Durant played 27 minutes against the Wolves on Tuesday and after the contest, he indicated that he’d have to talk with the training staff today and go from there. The Nets have since ruled him out.
Irving missed the Minnesota game for personal reasons and in the post-game press conference, coach Steve Nash didn’t provide a clear answer for whether Irving will play against the Sixers. The point guard seems likely to play given he wasn’t on Brooklyn’s lengthy injury report.
Chris Chiozza, who left Tuesday’s contest with a hand injury, is out as is Blake Griffin (left knee, injury management). Tyler Johnson (right knee soreness) will also sit out.
Sixers Projected Starters
- PG Ben Simmons
- SG Seth Curry
- SF Danny Green
- PF Tobias Harris
- C Joel Embiid
Injury notes: No surprises are likely on Philadelphia’s side. George Hill remains out and Dwight Howard won’t play because of knee soreness.*
More Nets-Sixers Notes
- Prop to watch | Joel Embiid over 10.5 rebounds (-120): There’s a risk that this game gets out of hand and Embiid’s minutes are limited, as they were on Monday vs. the Mavericks.Yet, if it’s somewhat competitive, Embiid should beat this total against a soft Brooklyn interior defense.
- DFS Play: Tobias Harris – The All-Star snub is having his best season as a pro but he’s been slightly better at home vs. on the road. Harris is shooting 54.3% at Wells Fargo (vs. 49.6%) and his points (21.4 vs. 19.6) and rebounds (8.2 vs. 6.5) are also seeing a boost. Expect Tobi to thrive against Brooklyn’s skeleton forward rotation.
- Trend to note: Philadelphia is 9-4-1 in their last 14 games as a favorite.
