The Nets remain the favorite to win the NBA title, though the team is still looking to make roster upgrades.
Nic Claxton is among the players on the roster who is reportedly available in trade talks, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com.
“When I say this, I know I’ll get aggregated for saying it but I know this would surprise some people because they’d say ‘This guy is really valuable defensively. He’s very active.’
Claxton has been dealing with a hamstring injury and Day’Ron Sharpe has stepped up in his absence.
Kyrle Irving Not Backing Down
Nets star Kyrie Irving stands “rooted” on staying unvaccinated.
“It’s not going to be swayed just because of one thing in this NBA life. That somehow, it’s brought to my attention as being more important than what’s going on in the real world. It’s just not happening for me,” Irving said (via Nick Friedell of ESPN.com).
“Again, I respect everyone else’s decision, I’m not going to ever try to convince anyone of anything or any of that, I’m just standing rooted in what I believe in,” Irving said. “And though we’re dealing with this right now with Kev, I just know that I’m protected by the organization, I’m protected by my teammates, I’m protected by all the doctors I’ve talked to. And I just stand rooted.”
Irving remains ineligible to play in homes games for Brooklyn.
