The Brooklyn Nets intend to sign guard Mike James to a second 10-day contract, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times. James’ first 10-day deal expired Sunday night.
James, 30, has appeared in six games for the Nets and is averaging 6.2 points and 3.7 assists, earning minutes as James Harden continues to miss time with a groin injury.
His second 10-day will expire in the season’s final week. At that point, the Nets will either have to offer him a standard contract for the playoffs or let him go.
