Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash said guard Chris Chiozza is likely out for the rest of the regular season, according to Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.
Chiozza underwent what was deemed a successful surgery on his right hand to repair a fractured third metacarpal, according to the Nets in a medical update.
Chiozza suffered the injury in the Nets’ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, as the 5-foot-11 guard finished with four points and five assists in nearly 14 minutes before exiting the game.
Behind Kyrie Irving, the Nets don’t currently have many ball handlers they can rely on, as James Harden and Tyler Johnson are both currently out due to injuries. It’s unclear at this time whether or not the Nets will look to sign another point guard.
