Much has happened so far in free agency and you can find all the signings on our 2021 Free Agency Tracker. Yet, despite all the fireworks, there are still several notable free agents remaining on the market.
Dennis Schroder, who was No. 1 in the last edition of our ranking, has since signed with the Celtics, settling for a one-year, prove-it deal. Lauri Markkanen moves up a spot in our latest rankings, as the power forward is still looking for his “fresh start.”
Beyond Markkanen, value likely varies by team. Looking for a veteran who can complete your frontcourt rotation? Paul Millsap might be your glue guy. Have a need for a scorer off the bench? Someone like Josh Hart might be of value, especially for a playoff contender without a fully-formed second unit. Want someone with some upside on the end of your roster? Still-young prospects, like Frank Ntilikina or Dennis Smith Jr., make sense to take a chance on.
It’ll be interesting to see where each of these players land as free agency winds down.
